My name is Rhonda Roach, and I am honored to be the principal at George Whitten Elementary School! GWE is an excellent school with exceptional students, teachers, staff, parents, and community. It has already become home to me! I look forward to working with all stakeholders at Whitten and will endeavor to continue its existing tradition of excellence.
After graduating from Tennessee State University, my teaching career began at Rucker-Stewart Middle School in Gallatin, as an 8th grade math teacher. I then taught at the former Union 5th, before moving to Benny Bills Elementary upon its completion. During my time at Bills, I received my Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision. After teaching 5th grade for seven years at Bills, I served as the Assistant Principal there for three years before being named Principal at George Whitten.
My husband and I are lifelong residents of Sumner County and live in Gallatin. We are the proud parents of three young adult children. We have an Australian Shepherd and a Teacup Chihuahua who rule the house. We enjoy family time and Titans football, especially the wins!
